5 Stars Hands down the best food I've had in all of Santa Clara. Sue Mongolian BBQ is an absolute gem -- casual in vibe but delivering top-tier customer service and next-level food quality. The ingredients are always fresh, the flavors are bold, and the portions are generous. You get to build your own bowl exactly the way you like it, and every time I go, it's cooked to perfection. The meats are high quality, the veggies are crisp, and the sauces? Incredible. What really stands out is the exceptional customer service. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely care about your experience. Even though it's a laid-back, no-frills kind of spot, the attention to detail and the way they treat their guests is on par with fine dining. If you're anywhere near Santa Clara, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I highly recommend it -- easily a 10/10 experience every single time.

Been craving Mongolian bbq for a while now and finally visited su's for weekday lunch. Parking can be tight during peak hours but since we arrived an hour before closing of lunch hour, we found parking without issues. Restaurant got lots of seating and once pointed to our spot, we got seated immediately then went straight to the food station to prep our bowls. 2 bowls per trip and for $23, you're allowed 2 trips. Lamb is my choice of protein but it's only available during dinner. First trip 1 got 1 bowl of protein and 1 bowl of whatever else followed by sauce bar to dress up your bowls. Their soy sauce is very very salty so make sure to use less. The final stop is where the cooks grill your food on a large iron plate. They offer complementary white rice if want to add to your meal. Seated at our table and we feasted. Unfortunately my bowl was too salty so I immediately went back to make my second bowl. Same drill, 1 bowl of protein and 1 bowl of whatever else but this time less soy sauce dressing then cooked by the chefs. I mixed both of my bowls hoping it'll taste less salty but boy was I wrong. The salty items are already infused and cannot be saved. But it was still tasty so I killed both bowls. While seated, server often came around to refill water and they got very nice crisp water. Ending the meal with complementary soft serve ice cream and they charge 50 cents for ice cream cone so small bowls are available free of charge. 10/10 doesn't get any better than su's

Same ownership as MP Mongolian BBQ in Menlo Park, they do everything pretty much the same so you'll get a pretty consistent meal out of both restaurants. Same sauces, same toppings, same everything.

True hidden gem in Santa Clara. First time coming to a Mongolian place and it was a great experience! First timers it will be hard to choose what you want cooked considering the number of items and selections there are. Good thing about this place is they have a recommendation list if you are unsure of what to add. It does get busy during lunch time but overall time goes by fast in line. You have bowls in a tray and have the ability to stack it up with as much items as you want. Mind you, that the meat does shrink and there is an extra charge for shrimp. Absolutely love that they have Lamb as an option! I have to give Paul the manager of the place a huge shoutout! Provides such warm welcome to all his customers and treats you like family! He makes sure you are well taken care of and recommends the best suggestions if its your first time here. What amazes me is that they have an ice-cream machine that you can top off after your meal! I've gone here atleast 3x in the past month for lunch and food is delicious!

All-you-can-eat style with all the options you'd expect from a Mongolian BBQ. It's a bit on the expensive side, but if you're hungry, you can definitely get your money's worth. The front-of-house staff was very friendly, made sure we knew how everything worked, and even gave us recommendations based on our preferences since it was our first time. I'll definitely be coming back!

Q it Yourself Asian and woman-owned OG restaurant that's been operating for nearly 45 years (I hope I remembered that correctly) along the foodie trail of the King's Highway serving up "Mongolian" BBQ. For those unfamiliar with the concept of "Mongolian" BBQ, it's essentially Tappenyaki (think Benihana) light. The one big difference is *you*, the consumer, get to choose the meats, vegs, noodless, and sauces in an á la carte buffet-style smorgasbord, where you're given two bowls to fill up to your hearts content. After which, one hands off their concoction over to a trained chef who slaves away over a ripping hot 5-600°F(!) grill and combine all your vittles into one tasty meal. The Good: *Vegan and vegetarian options *Great place for groups *Super friendly service *Beer & wine *Soft serve ice cream comes with your meal *Great value at $25/dinner ($22/lunch) *Oodles of noodles! *Rice option for the gluten-free crowd *Lots of spicy sauce options for us chili heads The Meh: *No outdoor seating *Location and décor ain't exactly going to blow you away. The Ugly: *Very small shared lot, but there is street parking, as well. Conclusion: I mean, is it the greatest meal you'll ever have? Probably not. But is the food damn tasty? Yes. Couple that with the fun atmosphere of dinner and a show, and you've got yourself a winner.

I have loved going to this place for years. The food is great, staff is super friendly and it's very clean. It's similar to buffet style but you can only fill up a plate twice. The price is pretty good for the food quality and amount of food you can get. The owners are super friendly as well. I miss when they used to have the desserts but other than that Su's is a hidden gem and one of my favorite places to come eat. It's been that way for many many years :)

Su's Mongolian BBQ has been a fixture in Santa Clara for years now. Like everywhere, the prices have gone up. It's like $20 for lunch and I believe $5 more for dinner. This definitely was perfect for my recent craving for noodles. It is a bummer though that now the egg rolls are $0.75 each as years ago they were part of the all you can eat price. Glad to see this place still around after nearly closing during the pandemic.
